Media Center Rules and Policies

The Jeff Davis Middle School Media Center only has 5 rules.
Here are other policies of the Media Center:

Behavior: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectable manner in the Media Center. When looking for a book, they are to place books back where they belong, make sure not to cause disorganization or damage, and make sure not to disrupt other students. Misbehavior in the Media Center can result in a disciplinary referral.
Damaged Chromebooks: If a Chromebook is damaged and requires repair, the student is responsible for the replacement cost of the part used unless the student has Chromebook Insurance or the part was damaged by normal wear and tear. Deliberate damage or damage via horseplay will result in a disciplinary referral.
Lost/Damaged Books: If a book is lost or damaged beyond simple repair, the student is responsible for the replacement cost of the book.
Overdue Fines: Books are checked out for 14 days (not counting weekends or holidays). The due date is displayed in the library behind the circulation desk. If a student needs longer than 14 days to finish their book, they may renew their book at any time to reset the due date. Students will be charged $0.10 per day that a book is late. A student can erase their overdue fines by helping Mr. Morris in the Media Center (overdue fines only).
Suggest A Book: Students, Parents, and Teachers can now suggest a book to be added to our Media Center Wishlist by submitting the form found here (bit.ly/JDMSbookwish). This will allow us to purchase high interest books when we get grants or funding.
Earbuds for Sale: The Media Center sells earbuds to students for $1.
