Amanda Hooks

Hello! My name is Amanda Hooks, and I teach 8th-grade math here at JDMS. I have always had a passion for math and want to pass this on to my students. I have a master’s degree in Middle Grades Math from Walden University and a specialist degree in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southwestern University. I am certified to teach math, ELA, and Social Studies. I also have my gifted endorsement.

I spent my first eleven years teaching 6th-grade math here at JDMS. Then, moved to math connections for one year. This is my second year teaching 8th grade math.
