Tina Brantley, School Improvement Specialist

Welcome to Jeff Davis Middle School! I have taught middle school for 14 years (Math and/or Language Arts) and recently took on the role of School Improvement Specialist here at JDMS. I am married to Charles Brantley, Music Minister at Hazlehurst Church of God, and we have four children--Shelly (20), Reagan (19), Cale (17), and Lucy Grace (9). I graduated from the University of Mobile in 2001 with my Bachelor’s in Education and later pursued graduate studies at Kennesaw State University, receiving my Master’s in Instructional Technology (2018) and my Ed. S. in Curriculum and Instruction (2020). I also have a Gifted Teaching Endorsement, an Online Teaching Endorsement, and a Dyslexia Endorsement.

I enjoy writing and my current target is to help our middle school students make improvements in the area of reading and writing. We have a great school system and our teachers are continuously working together to implement best practices and strategies to ensure our students are successful in all content areas. My job is to support the teachers and provide instructional leadership. I collaborate with our principal and teachers, analyze, interpret, and review assessment data, track performance, and use this data to further drive our instructional goals. I also work with our school and system leaders to develop professional learning that will help us reach those goals.
